On August 19th, The Levitt AMP Wooster Music Series will conclude its 2026 season with the electric Celtic-rock group The Tartan Terrors. The free outdoor concert will take place on the lawn at Wayne Center for the Arts (WCA), located in downtown Wooster at 237 S. Walnut Street. The lawn will open at 5pm, with music starting at 6pm.
Currently celebrating their “30 years of terror,” Tartan Terrors was founded in 1996 by siblings Ian and Ellen Irmisch to expand Celtic music’s accessibility. Today, the 7-member band blends the energy of a rock show with Celtic traditions like fiddle, stepdance, and bagpipe. Their distinctive sound and humorous performances have graced stages all around North America, from Times Square to hometown festivals. As the “heirs apparent to the Celtic mayhem,” the Tartan Terrors are certain to conclude the Levitt AMP Wooster series with humor, energy, and plenty of bagpipes.
During the performance, attendees can enjoy dinner from Han Quick food truck, which will be onsite. Beverages will also be available for purchase including locally-brewed JAFB beer. The Levitt AMP concerts will return next summer, featuring locally, nationally, and internationally touring musicians.
