Join us for the Levitt AMP Wooster Music Series, a free event that brings live music to the neighborhood south of Liberty by the art center! Enjoy great performances in a fun, relaxed atmosphere, with activities provided by Wooster Parks and Recreation and other neighbors and food trucks for onsite dining. Thanks to the support of the Levitt Foundation and our local partners, these concerts are free and open to all, making great music accessible to everyone in Wooster.

Know Before You Go
  • On the front lawn of Wayne Center for the Arts: 237 S. Walnut St., Wooster, OH
  • Concerts are RAIN OR SHINE! In case of inclement weather, the concerts will move into the WCA Auditorium.
  • Lawns open at 5. Concerts start at 6pm. Come early to get prime viewing and enjoy activities!
  • Bring your lawn chairs or blankets, a picnic to enjoy, and don’t forget your dance moves!
  • Unfortunately, we cannot allow DORA drinks at this time, but beverages are available for purchase from WCA.
  • Food Trucks will be onsite. Follow WCA on Facebook and Instagram for Updates!
  • Restrooms are available on-site and are fully accessible.
  • Parking is available behind the Wayne Center for the Arts, and we are a short walk from convenient downtown parking. Please do not use the United Way/Catholic Charities parking lot which is reserved for their clients.

May 27th, Sons of Mystro

Sons of Mystro is a genre-defying violin duo that transforms popular music into a powerful instrumental experience, using their violins to “sing” everything from reggae and hip-hop to rock, pop, and classical. Formed in 2010, the brothers have developed their craft through years of dedicated study in performing arts programs. Known for their dynamic stage presence and innovative arrangements, their performances have taken them to major stages and events across the country.

June 10th, Tabitha Meeks

Tabitha Meeks is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter and pianist known as the “Queen of Retro Pop,” blending vintage 1970s-inspired pop with touches of jazz and folk. Often compared to Norah Jones and Nancy Sinatra, her music pairs piano-driven melodies with storytelling. Her feel-good style and effortless charm have earned her a growing audience, bolstered by sync placements on Netflix and Hallmark and the viral success of her holiday single “Ready for Christmas.”

Meeks has made her mark on the Nashville music scene, performing at the Ryman Auditorium and Bonnaroo. With catchy, lighthearted songs and a vibrant stage presence, Meeks delivers performances full of vintage flair, joyful energy, and undeniable staying power.

June 24th, Heather Redman & the Reputation

Heather Redman is a powerhouse presence in the southern Ohio music scene, long respected for her work as a co-vocalist, guitarist, percussionist, and collaborator across a wide range of projects. After years of building a reputation as a dynamic and versatile performer, Redman steps into the spotlight fronting her own band, backed by some of the region’s most accomplished musicians. The result is a moment that showcases her voice, vision, and artistic identity.

Her sound draws from the soul and garage rock traditions of the 1960s and ’70s, while infusing a modern edge shaped by Midwestern indie influences, rich with groove, grit, and emotional honesty beyond nostalgia into something her own. Heather Redman delivers a performance that is as authentic as it is electrifying.

July 8th, The Often Herd

The Often Herd is a boundary-pushing bluegrass band whose sound stretches beyond tradition, blending the spirit of American string music with a Northern English perspective. With driving rhythms, tight harmonies, and striking instrumental interplay, their music reflects both the beauty and grit of their surroundings. This unique voice has earned them international recognition, including the title of Best European Bluegrass Band at the 2018 La Roche Bluegrass Festival in France.

The band crafts music rooted in personal storytelling while drawing from a wide range of influences, from old-time and folk to psychedelia. The result is a sound that invites longtime bluegrass fans and newcomers alike into a fresh and compelling musical experience.

July 22nd, Spirit of the Bear

Spirit of the Bear is an indie band known for its fresh, genre-blending sound that merges indie rock, pop, and electronic influences with a strong foundation in classic songwriting. Based in Columbus, Ohio, the group has gained attention for its polished yet dynamic approach, earning praise for bringing a new energy to modern indie music. Their layered sound is shaped in part by the unique presence of two keyboardists, adding depth and texture that sets them apart.

Built on years of shared musical experience and a deep-rooted friendship, Spirit of the Bear delivers a live performance that is engaging and sonically rich. Having shared stages with acts such as Judah and the Lion, Ra Ra Riot, and Welshly Arms, Spirit of the Bear continues to establish itself as one of Ohio’s most compelling indie voices.

August 5th, Brett Newski & the Bad Inventions

Brett Newski is a Wisconsin-based indie rocker known for his sharp songwriting, offbeat humor, and genre-bending sound that pulls from alt-country, ’90s alternative, and classic rock influences. Newski crafts music that is catchy and clever, pairing anthemic melodies with a distinctly contrarian voice. His work channels the spirit of artists like Bob Dylan and Jonathan Richman, with a lo-fi edge reminiscent of the Velvet Underground.

Beyond the stage, Newski is also an accomplished author, capturing the unpredictability of life on the road. A seasoned performer, he has shared stages with acts such as the Pixies, Violent Femmes, Courtney Barnett, and Japanese Breakfast, earning recognition from Rolling Stone, NPR, and Billboard. With a mix of wit, grit, and undeniable charm, Brett Newski continues to carve out a singular space in the indie music landscape.

August 19th, Tartan Terrors

Tartan Terrors deliver a high-energy Celtic experience that fuses traditional music with the excitement of a rock show, complete with dynamic stepdance and a signature sense of humor. Known for their engaging stage presence and infectious spirit, the group brings a fresh approach to Celtic music that resonates with audiences of all backgrounds. Their performances are equal parts musical mastery and entertainment, creating an atmosphere that is as lively as it is unforgettable.

Having appeared on stages across North America, from New York City’s Times Square to major festivals and concert venues, the Tartan Terrors have built a reputation as crowd favorites wherever they go.
