Upcoming Classes and Workshops
The FabLab will offer classes and workshops for ages 11 and up in a variety of fabrication arts, including woodworking, metalworking, welding, stained glass, fused glass, enameling, and more. Whether students are exploring a new hobby, developing artistic skills, or learning techniques connected to skilled trades and manufacturing, the FabLab will provide opportunities for creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on discovery in a safe and supportive environment.

Designed with professional-grade ventilation, fire suppression systems, adaptable workspaces, and specialized equipment, the FabLab combines artistic exploration with modern fabrication practices. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from experienced instructors while working with tools and materials that encourage both technical skill-building and creative expression.
More than just a classroom space, the FabLab is being developed as a collaborative creative community where artists, makers, hobbyists, and lifelong learners can connect, share ideas, and inspire one another. Future plans include an Open Studio Membership program that will provide independent makers with access to studio space, equipment, and additional opportunities for creative growth.
The FabLab reflects Wayne County’s strong manufacturing and industrial heritage while expanding opportunities for innovation, creativity, and lifelong learning. Through classes, workshops, artist demonstrations, community partnerships, and open studio opportunities, the FabLab will serve as a regional hub for creativity, craftsmanship, and exploration.
