Heather Redman & The Reputation Brings Soul and Garage Rock to the Levitt AMP Wooster Music Series

Some bands are meant to be experienced outside on a summer night with a crowd of people, lawn chairs scattered across the grass, and music echoing through downtown.

Heather Redman & The Reputation is definitely that kind of band.

On Wednesday, June 24, the Dayton-based soul and garage rock band takes the stage for the next installment of the Levitt AMP Wooster Music Series on the lawn at Wayne Center for the Arts.

If you’re not familiar with the band yet, imagine vintage soul, gritty rock ‘n’ roll, punchy horns, swirling organs, fuzzy guitar riffs, and a voice that’s bold, soulful, and full of personality. But what really makes the band stand out is the chemistry between the musicians on stage. Their live shows feel loose, electric, and human.

And while their sound pulls inspiration from classic soul and rock records, the atmosphere around their shows feels welcoming and current. This is the kind of concert where people dance in the grass, kids wander between lawn chairs, friends reconnect, and strangers chat between songs.

That spirit fits perfectly with the Levitt AMP Wooster Music Series.

The concert takes place on the front lawn of Wayne Center for the Arts at 237 S. Walnut St. in downtown Wooster. Lawn seating opens at 5 p.m., and music begins at 6 p.m.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and settle in for the evening. Oma Gourd Handcrafted Tacos will be on-site serving food. Beer, wine, and additional beverages will also be available for purchase through Wayne Center for the Arts. Outside picnics are welcome.

Open to all. No tickets required.

Parking is available behind Wayne Center for the Arts, with additional downtown parking nearby. Guests are asked not to use the United Way/Catholic Charities parking lot, as it is reserved for their clients.

Whether you stay for the full evening or stop by for a while after work, this is exactly the kind of summer night the series was created for: music, community, conversation, and a chance to simply enjoy being together outdoors.

Bring a chair. Bring your people. Stay awhile.

AMP Up Your Summer.
