Common Threads

June 12, 2025 – August 7, 2025
For Sue, Ellen Knolls

Common Threads” at Wayne Center for the Arts, opening on June 12, is a heartfelt tribute to the late artist Sue Cavanaugh, celebrated for her fabric installation work. Following her passing in 2022, Muse Art Services retrieved Cavanaugh’s final installation piece from the Mansfield Art Museum, an emotional farewell to a beloved artist. Inspired by this, an idea was proposed to invite artists to incorporate sections of Cavanaugh’s fabric installation into their own creations, transforming each piece into a personal homage to Sue. The exhibition will travel to several galleries, including the Riffe Gallery in Columbus, extending this touching tribute to a wider audience.
