Our call for art for 6x6 is extended to September

Our call for art for 6x6 is extended to September 16!
Join us for the third annual “6x6” exhibition at Wayne Center for the Arts!

This show aims to bring together hundreds of local artworks, made by artists, community members, youth, and YOU to cover the gallery walls. Starting August 5 until September 16, we are calling on our community to bring in works of art that are 6” by 6”, of any theme and media.

General information:
🔹Entries are FREE!
🔸Unlimited submissions
🔹Works can be created on paper, wood, canvas, etc. 🔶No theme restrictions
🔹All skill levels and media are welcome!
🔸All entries will be available for $20, with $10 supporting the artist and $10 supporting WCA’s galleries
🔹Opening reception is Oct. 5 (during WCA’s Fall Fest)

Thank you to all who came out yesterday to the dual opening reception for W.A.G.E. and woodturners! The event was a bustling success and a wonderful celebration of both group’s hard work.

“Artistic Circus” is a group show hosted by W.A.G.E., a local artist group from Wooster, who are showcasing the craziness, whimsy, and boundless creativity of the circus through a vibrant collection of artworks.

The Woodturners “Juried Group Exhibition” features a collaboration between two groups, the North Coast and Buckeye Woodturners. Together, they are exhibiting a curated selection of their member’s finest creations, highlighting the artistry and craftsmanship of woodturning.

And fear not, if you missed the opening reception, both of these exhibitions are free and open to the public until September 19. We hope to see you there!

Join us tonight at the opening reception for “Artistic Circus” and “The Woodturners Juried Exhibition”! The reception begins at 5 and runs until 7 pm. Food and beverages will be provided.

Exhibitions and receptions are always free and open to the public. Please make sure to stop by, talk with the artists, and enjoy the phenomenal work!

Both exhibitions will be on display until September 19.
