Emily Farr

Emily Farr

Emily developed an interest in the arts at a young age after taking drawing lessons with an artist in Branford, Connecticut. During this time, her mother began teaching her sewing and quilting. After moving to Ohio with her family, Emily continued taking art classes at the Cleveland Institute of Art in drawing, sewing, and stop motion animation. At this time, Emily also served as a high school intern for the Cleveland Museum of Art. With art as a true passion, Emily attended Ohio University and pursued a major in Printmaking, specifically lithography. At OU she studied under Karla Hackenmiller. After two years in the Printmaking department, Emily transferred to Case Western Reserve University to complete her B.A. in Art History in 2021. Additionally, Emily has held a number of internships through the Cleveland Museum of Art and SPACES Gallery. Following college, Emily has continued drawing and sewing independently, and has taught art classes in the Cleveland area through SPACES gallery. Outside of work and art, Emily enjoys reading, hiking, and baking bread.
