We will cover the concepts of composition, light, point-of-view and how to represent a 3-dimensional world in a 2-dimensional medium. Weekly assignments and in-class review will help us all learn and grow together and cement the basic concepts of photography in our minds - without all the technical and post-production distractions. To keep this class accessible - a cell phone camera is all the "gear" you will need.

LEVEL 2: Photography Basics
NOTE: No class November 25.
After building the basic skill sets of composition and concept, we will move into the realm of not just recording images, but using the camera tools to CREATE the image you see in your head. We will cover the more advanced concepts of depth, blur, motion, and MAKING (not just taking) photographs. We will also cover the fundamentals of post-production and image management. Weekly assignments and critiques will encourage students to share ideas that will help improve your skills.
