Tuesdays 5:30-7:30 pm
Instructor: guest artist Erin Phillips
Do you have a hard time deciding on colors? This course helps to better understand the power of color and how to effectively use color as visual language. In this class we will be experimenting with color studies. Each session we will be learning a new technique and applying it to our own color studies, followed by a brief critique. The final study will be a finished piece on canvas of your choice of color technique(s). This class will investigate color principles, color interactions, color unity, seeing colors from life, and psychological experience of color. Throughout the sessions it will reference a large array of renowned artists and designers from Western to Eastern cultures. From taking color theory, it may have you rethinking the way you see color in your every day life and find a new language in your visual creations.
