Ages 14-18

Bring in your artwork and watch your skills and portfolio improve under the instruction of three experienced artists! This is a teen intensive for students who have a serious love for art. It is an excellent way to prepare high school students for the art school experience and give them a chance to try mediums that are not always available at their own school. Students will take part in 3-hour art sessions modeled after a college course covering exciting subjects like throwing on the wheel and creating murals as well as continuing to add to their own body of work. In addition to creating new pieces, instructors will help students to photograph and display any previous work in a professional manner. Art Rocks! Week 5: July 17-21

Ages 6-13

Let’s dig in! Campers will explore the most basic of art materials—those found in nature. We will delve into the earth using rock in all its forms as our inspiration. Join a community hide-and-seek with others from NE Ohio Rocks to create mini-masterpieces on rocks that will then be secreted for others to find and share on Facebook. We will also assemble temporary works of art using natural materials that will be enjoyed until nature and the elements reclaim them. Zen gardens, sand art, and clay projects will extend our campers’ rock experience. Even old-time rock and roll will find its place as campers learn dances to share.
