Financial Aid & Scholarships

Financial aid and scholarships are available for students demonstrating financial need.  Families who have not applied for financial aid or scholarships in 2016 should complete and return the Financial Aid Forms.  Those who have already applied for financial aid in 2016 need only check the “I would like to use financial aid” box on the application.

Class Cancellations

Occasionally classes and workshops are cancelled due to insufficient enrollment. In such cases, the Registration Office will notify you approximately three days before the scheduled start date. Your tuition will be refunded in-full by check.

Weather Closing Policy

In the event of severe weather, Wayne Center for the Arts may close in order to ensure the safety of our instructors, staff and students. The decision to close will be made independent of school closings. Closings will be determined by Noon. Closing information will be available through Wooster Radio/WQKT, WEWS/Channel 5 and through the iAlert System utilized by over a dozen radio and TV stations in Northeast Ohio. We will also post closing information to our Facebook page and website. All canceled classes will be rescheduled for a later date.

Withdrawal, Refunds & Credits

Refunds or account credits may be issued if withdrawal from classes or workshops occurs before the class begins. In order to receive a refund, a withdrawal form must be completed and returned to Wayne Center for the Arts at least 72 hours before the start of the course. Account credits will be issued if withdrawal occurs within 72 hours of the start of the course. There will be no refunds or account credits issued (except for severe injury or illness) if withdrawal occurs after the course start date.

Student Safety

In order to help ensure the safety of your child, parents or guardians must sign children ages 12 and younger in and out of class. Parents or guardians may authorize students ages 11 and 12 to sign themselves in and out of class on the required Emergency Information & Authorization Form. Parents and guardians of students under the age of 6 must remain in the waiting area during class times.
