Be Inspired Day Trip Falling Water & Kentuck Knob
Saturday, October 8, 2016
Child (12 & Under):
Falling Water, located in Pennsylvania’s Laurel Highlands, is noted as the most unique home in the world. Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, America’s premier architect, for the Kauffman Family, it is built over a natural waterfall and visited by people from across the world. Kentuck Knob, a Wright-designed home known as the Hagan House for the Hagan Family of ice cream fame, is just 5 miles down the road from Falling Water. This home is known for its beautiful stone and woodwork and the grounds include a sculpture garden with amazing views of the foothills.
This day trip takes you on an artistic journey to Falling Water and Kentuck Knob. You will receive a guided tour of Falling Water with additional art activities for children led by Falling Water Staff. Adults can participate in a Sketch Crawl of the interior and grounds (weather permitting) or explore on their own. Time is allotted for lunch and you can bring your own or purchase something at the café at Falling Water. From Falling Water the group will travel on to Kentuck Knob where a tour of the facility and other art and sketch opportunities await. We top off the day with a Hagan ice cream test!
